How does ClickBoard rate in terms of fire protection?
The product ClickBoard is ranked as B2 (fire safety class). For walls or roof extensions in order to achieve a ranking in a fire resistance class the construction has to be checked as a whole. The product ClickBoard is regarded as a decorative surface in this case and is not being used for fire protection reasons. If fire protection requirements have to be met, a professional should check your construction. Depending upon local regulations those requirements are always different and subject to change.

ClickBoard is not conforming to the building construction standard width of 62.5 cm. Is this going to cause problems e.g. with the insulation materials?
For roof extensions and optional ceiling insulation all standard, commercially available products can be used, just like those you would use for all other building projects. Often, the distances between rafters as well as the sub-structure underneath ceilings are not within the standard construction raster either, which means the insulation material has to be fitted. Rock wool insulation boards are generally sold in 1.0 m widths. In order to adjust them to the center distances of the ClickBoard sub-structure, all you have to do is cut the boards in half. Other specialty insulation materials e.g. for partition walls (width 62.5 cm) cannot be used that simply; due to the different widths they will have to be installed crosswise. Please make sure that the width of the insulation material completely fills the hollow section between the sub-structure to avoid "sagging" of the material.

How is the long-run performance of ClickBoard in terms of joint-quality?
The joints of the product have been tested and simulated in climatic tests under extreme conditions. Throughout these above-average temperature and humidity fluctuations no noticeable changes on the joints have been detected. Further tests have been carried out with boards that had various forms of surface finishes on them (paint, wallpaper and tiles). These boards too did not show any visible changes.

Can ClickBoard be mounted directly on wooden composite boards (OSB or particleboard) or sheetrock?
Because of the high amount of doweling work this would require, we do not recommend mounting the product on sheetrock. If the walls however, merely require a decorative cover, it is possible to put up an additional sub-structure with the specified center distance. The easiest way to do this is the horizontally installed wooden substructure as it is done for drywall lining and ClickBoard can then be screwed on directly. On a wooden composite board, however, direct planking is easily possible. Please only use system-compatible screws for the wooden substructure and check the wood moisture content (should be 18% min.) of the boards that are to be installed.

How can I install Parador skirtings on ClickBoard?
The Parador skirtings cannot be installed using the screws that are included in the package. These screws are suitable for solid walls only and have to be replaced by shorter woodscrews if the skirtings are to be mounted on ClickBoard (Adjust the length of the screws to the specific type of skirting and the panel that is actually used – make sure the screws are not going to penetrate the sub-structure).

What is the waste/cutting proportion with ClickBoard?
The format of the ClickBoard wall boards (2.585 x 0.492 m) was chosen with regard to average room height, so that height adjustments should typically be within a few centimeters only (<= 5 %). When ClickBoard is used on ceilings, with roof extensions or with above-average room heights, it is installed in an interlocking pattern with staggered butt joints. This means the cutoff piece of the last row is being used as the first, starting piece for the next row which also means that there is no cutting waste whatsoever. When installing doors or windows, however, the waste proportion will be higher, but keep in mind that the cutoff pieces can still be used for smaller areas like reveals.

Is it really necessary to use the ClickBoard finishing seals/ profiles?
The finishing seals/ profiles are necessary because of ClickBoards basic material: wood-derived material that is. The ClickBoard panels require expansion gaps and the seals/ profiles are discreetly covering those - thus they are indispensable. Contrary to conventional dry walling systems, the seals/ profiles can actually absorb contractions, e.g. with roof extensions, whereas with the classic drywalling systems this may lead to visible cracks on wallpaper and paints. Alternatively other solutions like for example installation with a shadow gap may be applied.

Do I have to use a specific tile adhesive to install ceramic tile on ClickBoard?
If you are installing ceramic tile, use Haftprimer as your first layer. Once this has cured, you can then use tile adhesive to actually install the floor/wall covering (do not install where subject to splashing water).
